What can be said about us that has not already been said so many time, just not here. This is the website for noobnews.org and although this may be your first time here, it will definitely not be your last.
Many believe the term n00b to mean newb or newbie, but this is not accurate. A n00b is actually someone who is a beginner and new at the learning of something. They are someone who is willing and able to learn so that they can move beyond being a n00b. On the other hand they are also a bit over sure of themselves and a little lazy. Maybe more than a little, for they also expect praise, recognition and pats on the back for work that someone else has done for them. As you can see being a noob has quite a few characteristics. Some of them may apply to you, some of them may not. You may have to take a hard look at yourself to be sure, but if you are here at this website, in one way or another you are a n00b.
So what’s the bottomline? N00bs are just beginners at a game. Not because their skills suck, but because they just got started. Even today’s aces and ladder kings were once n00bs themselves.
This site us a work in progress and will be growing everyday. This site is going to focus on information related to and about video games. Most video game players, game designers, beta testers, or just plain video game addicts are all in their own way a noob. We are looking for you to join forces with others like yourself. To share thoughts and ask questions about things that all of you may have on your mind. Remember great noobs think alike. Or they do if they are really noobs. You again can only decide this for yourself, are you a noob? If the answer is yes, we are so glad you came.
